My name is Demi. I'm a Journalism, Media and Sociology graduate currently seeking freelance journalism work. I am passionate about highlighting social issues and giving a voice to those who have thus far gone unheard in our society. I am also a documentary filmmaker, having made various short documentary films on subjects such as Windrush, Stalking, Inceldom and more. I believe that making media content that is both educational and entertaining is the future of journalism.

I am currently seeking freelance journalism assignments, particularly those concerned with social issues, crime and human rights. However, I am always open to exploring new topics and welcome opportunities to work on other projects. My experience ranges from publishing to production and allows me to fulfil a multitude of roles and produce multimedia content.

I am young, energetic and inquisitive with a passion for journalism, writing and creating media content that is both informative and engaging. I have an extensive education and am knowledgeable when it comes to ethical journalism and news values. Moreover, I understand how important accurate, ethical and informative journalism is to democracy. Having recently completed a master's degree in Digital Documentaries, I have put my theoretical knowledge into practice and gained real-life experience. This endeavour allowed me to develop my journalistic skills and independently create multiple short documentary films on a variety of subjects.
